David Smith, MD, MBA
Dr. David Smith received his BS in genetics and evolution from Cornell University, then received his MD from The Ohio State University in 1995. From there, he did his residency in Pediatrics at Akron Children's Hospital, and following a year as the Chief Resident, did fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine there as well. In the 25 years since finishing training, he has served as the medical director for a 35,000 visit a year pediatric emergency department in North Carolina, covered pediatric intensive care units in Nevada, North Carolina, and South Dakota, and has spent time doing primary care pediatrics in North Carolina and Nevada. Dr. Smith also worked with Teladoc, caring for children via telemedicine. During the pandemic, "Doctor Dave" got his MBA too. There are few physicians with the experience and knowledge required to handle the needs of your children in any setting and for any condition.
